On May 11, 2026, our College's Child Development Program students made a meaningful environmental movement within the scope of the "Environmental Education in Early Childhood" and "Volunteering Studies" courses.

In the cleaning activity carried out in the forested area on Sivridibi Mevkii (KYK Dormitory area), waste abandoned in nature was meticulously collected. The following steps were followed in the event conducted to prevent environmental pollution and protect the ecosystem:

Waste Separation: Collected materials such as glass, plastic, and paper were separated at the source and cleaned from nature.

Municipal Cooperation: The collected waste was delivered to the relevant municipal teams to be included in recycling processes.

Fire Awareness: As summer months approach, a stance was taken against forest fires, emphasizing the importance of environmental awareness.

"A Greener Future is Our Shared Responsibility"

As the HTMYO Child Development family, we aim to instill an environmentalist understanding in our students and create social awareness. We once again emphasize that protecting our nature is not just a duty but a debt to future generations.

We thank all our students, academic staff, and all stakeholders who provided logistical support for working with great dedication in this valuable event.

Hand in hand for a cleaner and more livable world!
