The Logistics Program is conducted within the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Vocational School of Transportation and Logistics. The school was established in 1995 under the name Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Vocational School, was affiliated with Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in 2006, and adopted its current name in 2026. The Logistics Program has been accepting students since 2011.

The Logistics Associate Degree Program trains professionals who will carry out transportation, storage, inventory management, customs, insurance, and distribution processes in the supply chain from raw materials to the end user. The program addresses road, sea, air, and rail transportation, logistics information systems, smart logistics, and artificial intelligence applications according to the current standards of organizations such as FIATA, UTIKAD, and ICC.

To train professionals who carry out transportation types, warehouse and inventory management, foreign trade, and customs processes in accordance with regulations, analyze logistics data, use information technologies and artificial intelligence tools, and possess awareness of occupational health and safety and sustainability.

To be a program that combines smart logistics and sustainability principles with practical training, making its graduates preferred in the national and international logistics sector.

PEA1: Graduates conduct road, sea, air, and rail transportation operations in accordance with sectoral standards and regulations.

PEA2: Graduates manage warehouse, inventory, and material transportation processes; they convert logistics data into operational decisions through analysis.

PEA3: Graduates use logistics information systems, smart logistics technologies, and artificial intelligence tools in professional processes.

PEA4: Graduates act in accordance with occupational health and safety, sustainability, and ethical principles; they take responsibility within the team and communicate with stakeholders in a foreign language.

The Logistics Program of Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Vocational School of Transportation and Logistics continues its self-assessment and accreditation preparation activities in accordance with the criteria of the Association of Vocational Schools Accreditation (MEDEK).

The program's educational activities are regularly reviewed with a continuous improvement approach based on the opinions of students, graduates, and employers, as well as the recommendations of the program advisory board.
