The aim of the Public Relations and Promotion Program is to attract the attention of consumers in an environment where competition, customer needs, and expectations are increasing, and to ensure that the institution correctly explains and promotes itself to the target audience it is trying to reach. In this context, the program aims to train qualified human resources who can conduct research and planning in their field, have knowledge and skills in mass communication tools, and can use public relations strategies correctly in the national and international market.

 

Employment Opportunities for Graduates

Private organizations are established for profit and must work efficiently to increase their profits. This necessity forces them to work in the field of human relations both within and outside the organization, and they need to maintain good relations with individuals and institutions outside the organization.
Therefore, the importance given to public relations in both private and public organizations is increasing day by day.
Graduates of this two-year program:
• Can work as mid-level professional personnel in the public relations and promotion units of public and private sector organizations,
• Can work as customer relations specialists, product or service managers.
• In addition, program graduates,
• Have the opportunity to work in newspapers, magazines, television, advertising agencies, and organizations related to public opinion research.

 

Vertical Transferable Departments

Graduates of the Public Relations and Promotion Program have the right to continue with a bachelor's program related to their graduation fields if they succeed in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO): 

PEO1: To have the necessary knowledge, skills, and equipment related to the discipline of public relations to work in public, private sector, and non-governmental organizations or to realize their own initiatives, 

PEO2: To follow digital technologies and use them effectively, 

PEO3: To act with professional ethics, social responsibility, and sustainability awareness, 

PEO4: To follow national and international developments in the field of Public Relations and Promotion, and to graduate qualified individuals who are prone to teamwork. 

 

Vision: To be a pioneering program in the field of Public Relations and Promotion that responds to the needs of the region on a national level, closely follows developments affecting the social structure in the international arena, reaches and produces universal knowledge, is part of the digital world, contributes to the scientific world, society, and business life with an innovative, libertarian, ethical stance; and trains qualified professionals who are creative, equipped with effective communication skills, and can meet the needs of the sector.

 

Mission: To train versatile proactive communication personnel who are aware of the requirements of the public relations discipline, have strong foundations in communication skills, creative thinking, and strategic management, act in accordance with professional ethics, follow and apply scientific and technological developments, are innovative, creative, entrepreneurial, possess critical thinking skills, have a high sense of social responsibility, and can adapt to changing world conditions.
